Welcome message from Philipp Rösler - German Entrepreneurship Week 2012 (GEW)

New companies and innovative business concepts are generated by people who have ideas and are no afraid to roll up their sleeves. It is the entrepreneurs who keep our economy humming and refreshed. Germany needs even more people like this: people who see and seize the opportunity to set up their own company.

The German Entrepreneurship week seeks to put the spotlight on this. In particular, we want to spark the entrepreneurial spirit of schoolchildren, trainees, students and young adults. We want to encourage them to discover their “entrepreneurial gene”. And we want to inspire them with the idea of starting up their own business.

The German Entrepreneurship Week will run from 14 – 20 November 2011 and will again feature hundreds of varied and interesting events. These will provide extensive information and advice on entrepreneurship and self-employment right across Germany. Creative workshops, competitions and business planning games will get the visitors to join in.
