As a partner of German Entrepreneurship Week 2011 you offer one or more events to inspire young people (and people of all ages!) to start up businesses and encourage entrepreneurial thinking and action. In doing so, you support Global Entrepreneurship Week 2011, a worldwide campaign in which millions of young people have participated over the past few years.
Ever greater numbers of young people are interested in professional self-employment. It’s an attractive career choice: being an entrepreneur means you can give free rein to your creativity, implement your own ideas, offer innovative solutions and assume responsibility for yourself and others. German Entrepreneurship Week partners are there to open young people’s eyes to the following:
-
Implementing your own ideas through entrepreneurship
-
Defining the essence of entrepreneurial thinking and action
-
Recognising that an entrepreneurial mindset is also required in your profession and education

Top ten reasons to become a partner of German Entrepreneurship Week:
-
... Your community or institution is already actively committed to future-oriented, regional and economic development and German Entrepreneurship Week offers you a good opportunity to build on these activities.
-
... Your institution represents a certain sector or profession and German Entrepreneurship Week offers you a suitable opportunity to recruit young professionals for your association.
-
... Your business is looking for skilled employees and you want to promote the entrepreneurial potential of young people. A special event during Entrepreneurship Germany will allow you to reach out to a vast number of young people.
-
... As a teacher, you already coach pupils in a business run by schoolchildren and/or teach young people about the business environment. You know that your students will enjoy taking part in German Entrepreneurship Week, and also benefit from all the entrepreneurial experience gathered there.
-
... As a university lecturer or professor, you offer lectures or seminars on Entrepreneurship Education. Through the events held as part of German Entrepreneurship Week, you’ll be able to connect with greater numbers of students, academics and aspiring entrepreneurs.
-
... Your institution is holding a business plan competition or is running a start-up initiative. German Entrepreneurship Week will help you reach an even greater number of young people in your region.
-
... Your event, held as part of German Entrepreneurship Week, is part of a worldwide campaign. The Week provides momentum, enhances your regular activities and provides an incentive to further develop and continue your work.
-
... The publication of your event and information on your institution on the German Entrepreneurship Week website allows you to reach the general public at regional, national and international levels. This will also enable you to recruit prominent public figures for your event(s).
-
... Through German Entrepreneurship Week 2011’s links with the international Global Entrepreneurship Week, you can find out about European and international events. Or you can even initiate events with partners in other countries (for example, a national competition for companies run by schoolchildren could be extended to a binational or trinational competition).
