Browser compatibility and screen resolution

The web pages are optimised for all modern browser versions.

  • MS Internet Explorer 7.0 or newer
  • Firefox 3.x

The website is best viewed at a resolution of 1024x768 pixels. Using older browsers may result in graphical errors in the display of fonts and styles.

Accessibility

These pages are designed to meet the guidelines of the German "Verordnung zur Schaffung barrierefreier Informationstechnik nach dem Behindertengleichstellungsgesetz" (Ordinance on the Creation of Barrier-Free Information Technology). They fulfil all the requirements of this ordinance. A barrier-free (accessible) text version of this site is therefore not necessary.

Changing font size

You can change the font size individually in your browser to suit your viewing preferences. In Internet Explorer, click on "View" > "Text Size", and select the desired size. In Firefox, click on "View", then "Zoom" and select the desired size.

Navigating without a mouse

You can select the most important pages without using a mouse using our access keys:

[Alt + 0] > [Enter] – Homepage
[Alt + 1] > [Enter] – Top of page
[Alt + 6] > [Enter] – Content
[Alt + 9] > [Enter] – Legal notice

Data protection

Each visit to the German Entrepreneurship Week (Gründerwoche) website is saved in a log file. Data saved is used solely to optimise the Internet presence. Data is saved in Germany and not passed on.

Downloading PDF attachments

The Adobe PDF reader is a free and freely distributable software that allows printing of PDF files on all major system platforms. If you do not own the software, you can download it here free of charge download.

How do I download a PDF file? When Acrobat Reader is installed, you can view PDF documents directly in your browser by clicking on the icon of the attachment. If your browser does not support the software or if you want to save the document directly on your hard disk, right-click on "Download" (for Windows) or hold down the button longer (for Macs) and select "Target/Save Link As..." from the menu. Specify the drive or folder on your PC to which you want to save the file.

Searching the site

You can search the website for any term. Use the search function located on the right side of a page to find terms.

Printing documents

A "Print Page" link is provided at the end of each article. Print view allows you to print texts in A4 format without the navigation area or header. Select the print view and click on "print". You can also select the "Print" function from your browser menu.
